What we won't do
Some tricks work until someone looks closely. In a small town, someone always does. We won't do any of these, for any client, at any price.
Fake reviews
No reviews written by us, your staff or your friends. Fake reviews break the FTC's rules and every review site removes them.
Paying for reviews, or only asking happy guests
We'll help you ask every guest, with no strings attached. Rewards for reviews and asking only the happy ones are against Google's rules.
Keywords stuffed into your name
"Your Restaurant: Best Sushi in Town" on Google breaks its naming rules and can get your listing suspended.
Hidden text or instructions for AI
Nothing on your website that guests can't see. It's spam to search engines, and it gets caught.
Fake "best of" lists or posing as customers
No made-up blogs, no "independent" rankings we wrote, no posts pretending to be a happy diner.
A "best restaurants" guide on your own site that ranks you first
A self-promotional list reads like an independent one when AI repeats it. Google has reportedly started demoting them.
Paid posts meant to feed AI
Even with "#ad", AI repeats the post without the disclosure, so diners get a paid opinion as if it were independent.
Tweaking the numbers
The questions and the comparison restaurants are fixed before we start. We count every answer and never pick the good ones.
What we do instead
Say plainly what you're best at, in the words guests use. Make your website, Google profile, Apple Maps, Bing, Yelp, Resy and OpenTable listings complete and consistent. Make sure AI search tools are allowed to read your site. Ask every guest for an honest review. All of it true, all of it approved by you.
